Narrated by the Stage Manager, Our Town is a story about the routines of daily life, emphasizing the beauty of even the most mundane of moments and how we should cherish them. Taking place in the town of Grover’s Corner, New Hampshire in the early 1900's, the audience is able watch the inhabitants of the town, particulary George Gibbs and Emily Webb, as they live their lives, grow old and find joy in the simplest of things.  Since a plethora of different faces from all walks of life can be found in this fictional town, the audience is treated to many unqiue stories and interpretations of joy.  Famously known as "the play without a set," Our Town aims to make the audience fully invest in the characters themselves and share their emotions as they experience tragedy and joy.
